Novel by Julie Kagawa |

KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS THE THIRD BOOK IN THE IRON FEY SERIES.  THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

SPEECHLESS!

On with the review...

I don't normally cry in books.  I think I have only cried in books five times tops in my whole reading experience.  This novel had me gushing tears.  My eyes were like a waterfall!

Character Development:

Meghan definitely developed in this novel.  She went from scared, mundane mortal to fierce, unstoppable faery princess.  Ash and Puck developed a great deal too, but you're going to have to read to find out what all happens there.

Cover:

OMG!!! I loved this one! The colors are amazing. It leaves me breathless.

All-in-all:

I loved it! So far, it is the best one out of the whole series.
Once again...

SPEECHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

Published: August 1, 2010
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Pages: 359 in the US paperback edition
Synopsis: Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.
Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

Novel by Julie Kagawa |

Keep in mind that this is the second book in THE IRON FEY series.  There will most likely be spoilers.

Julie Kagawa:

This women writes amazing words.  I find myself devouring every book she writes.  There is never a boring part in her books.  Although this is the third book I have read by her, I know I will be reading more from her.

The love triangle:

I have to say, the love triangle was amazing. I personally think the love story was better in this book then the first book, because now we got PUCK into it.  Puck all of a sudden pronounced his love for Meghan, and she thinks "Oh, he's a summer fey! Maybe this is what is best." then shes all like, "Oh, but I love Ash so much!" and I'm like ASH! ASH! ASH! DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! IT'S ASH YOU LOVE!!!!!!

Puck vs. Ash:

As read in the first book, THE IRON KING, Ash and Puck are feuding over the death of Ash's lover.  In THE IRON DAUGHTER there is barely any argument over it.  Although Ash is still devastated over it, Ash and Puck manage not to fight to the death over her.

Cover:

This cover is beautiful!  I love the purple and blues.  The model on the cover is suppose to be Meghan, I believe.

All-in-all:

This book was amazing! I really liked it!

Novel by C.C. Hunter |

Let me warn you that there may be spoilers in this review. This is the fourth installment in the Shadow Falls series.

Team input:
I've always loved Lucas.  Team Lucas all the way, but as I read this book I started to get really annoyed by his actions.  At the end of this novel, I was about to pull a Blues Clues and jump inside just so I could punch him in the face.

The Cover:

So beautiful! Once I saw the cover of this book, I was so happy.  This cover is so beautiful. I like how we are looking through the cemetery gates and we see Kylie walking and shes looking back at us.

 Romance:

OMGGGG!!!
The love triangles back! Through out the whole series I was team Lucas.  This is the first time I ever questioned myself about which side I was on.  Although Derek is a great guy, he never really seemed liked my kind of guy, but now I think I might switch over. MIGHT. This novel also had romance between Holiday and  Burnett.  I loved their passion for each other.  I don't want to spoil anyone, but at the end of this novel you'll be so happy about what happens to them.

The lizard:

In the previous book, we found out Kylie is a Cameleon, which means she can shift her pattern to any other supernatural being.  I don't want to spoil a lot so I am just going to say that she learns more abilities and can do a whole lot more than what she could before.

All-in-all:

I enjoyed this book.  I have loved the series from the start and I can't wait till the final installment in the spring.

But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.

Novel by Marissa Meyer |

I had my doubts about this book, but as soon as I got to know Cinder more my whole viewpoint changed.

Cinder is an amazing character.  She was insecure about being cyborg and {that thing that I can't say * spoiler*}.

Cinder has character motivation.  She was motivated to find a cure for her stepsister {who had letumosis}
and fixing her getaway car.

When you read this book you will fell like you are in the story.  When Cinder has adrenaline rushes; you also have them.

At the end of the book {last fifty pages} my heart was about to beat right out of my chest.

My reactions:

"Oh, no! Cinder!"

"Kai! Are you Crazy!?"

"YAY!!!"

"Oh thank heavens!"

"I KNEW IT!"

Cinder will make you feel the feels.  I loved it!

Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter

White Rabbit Chronicles #1
Released: September 25, 2012
Published: Harlequin Teen
Pages: 404 in the US Hardcover edition
Synopsis:  Had anyone told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that’s all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.
Her father was right. The monsters are real….
To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn’t careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies….

Novel by Gena Showalter |

My Opinion:

Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter absolutely fantastic.  I have no bad comments about this novel at all.  It's entertaining, comical, action-packed, and the romance is beautiful.  I would recommend this novel to anyone.  The beginning didn't have very many zombie related things, but it was still very intriguing.

Cole's and Alice's Relationship:

This was one of the most confusing relationships I have ever read about; I still loved every minute of it.  It was funny, cute, and vehement.  Cole is protective of Alice, and it is so cute.

The Zombies:

The zombies in this novel are not like any other kind.  These zombies are spirits and only certain people can see them.  If a person is not in their spirit form they cannot touch or see the zombie and vice versa.  There is only one way to kill these zombies and no it is not through the brain.  Just read the novel to find out for yourself.  You won't be sorry.

Parental Warning:

  • Mild Cursing
  • Mild Sexual content
